A 14-year-old schoolgirl has disappeared after leaving her mother's store in Ikorodu to go out with her 20-year-old boyfriend.
Bilikisu Oseni, an SS1 student, left her mother's tent in Odogunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos State, with her boyfriend, Wahis, on Sunday, June 24, 2018. Wahis, a motor boy, took Bilikisu on a motorcycle to her new apartment on Igbosoro Road, Ikorodu, and that was the last time they saw her, reports Punch.
When Bilikisu did not return to his home, his mother, Fausatu Oseni, stopped Wahis. Wahis was finally granted bail after his relatives promised him that he would produce Bilikisu. But he was ordered to return the victim in 7 days or to be arrested again.
However, the suspect denies having knowledge of his girlfriend's whereabouts and says he suspects that she is with another lover.
Wahis said: "On Sunday, I went to pick her up from the store on a motorcycle and I took her to see my new apartment.
"When he arrived at my house, they told me that his mother had started complaining and was looking for her, I took her on a motorcycle to go back to her mother, I never knew she did not come home.
"If I had known this would happen, I would have asked her to wait a bit at my house or take her home, some people said they saw her in Agodo around 1 in the afternoon.
"One of her friends, Gloria, told me she mentioned a boyfriend who was left alone in the Odogunyan area, I think she was afraid that her mother would hit her and she went to stay with the boyfriend.
"She must be near Odogunyan, we started dating in January 2018. The police have given me until Wednesday to produce it and I do not know where else to go." My mother has cried non-stop for this. I've spent a lot of money to look for it, I can not eat or sleep. "
