“Our consistent remittance has proven that something could actually be done and even if charges are reduced, examinations can still be conducted with no service suffering any issue of funding.

” The president has taken this bold step, we will see what happens after this reduction and if need be for further reduction, Mr President will do so in no distant time because he has concerns for the ordinary Nigerian on the streets. ”

Benjamin reiterated the board’s readiness to continuously give the general public the desired impact to further enhance institutions through conducting transparent and credible examinations at its CBT centres, nationwide.

He explained that organisations and agencies chose to conduct their exercises at JAMB because of the trust and confidence they had for the board to deliver.

“Before each examinations, we charge the candidates to conduct themselves in the best way because once you breach the examination’s code of conduct, you will be immediately sent out of the hall.

“We are very firm, determined and irrespective of whoever is involved, our benchmark is that you must behave accordingly as expected of you,” he said.

ACG Olapolu Fatade, Human Resource Department of the NCS, who also spoke to newsmen, explained that the promotion for 10, 498 officers cut across officers of different ranks across the country.

Argentina Waiting For Messi

Lionel Messi

Argentina are waiting for Lionel Messi “with open arms”, Gabriel Mercado has told Goal, with the Barcelona star currently in self-imposed exile from international football.

Having seen his World Cup dreams dashed again in 2018, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner and modern day icon has stepped away from duty with his country.

Messi is fully focused on domestic matters for now, with the decision taken to remove himself from contention for call-ups in recent squads.
No retirement has been announced, though, having previously backtracked on taking such a decision, and the Albiceleste remain optimistic that their talismanic skipper will return soon.

Sevilla defender Mercado hopes that will be the case, telling Goal: “Argentina without Messi isn’t the same.

“We have to respect his decision, he has his reasons for wanting to take time out and if he wants to consider a return at some point, that will be really important.

“All Argentineans are waiting for him with open arms, so we have to wait and see what will happen.”

Messi, who boasts an Olympic gold medal among his collection, is still waiting on a first senior honour with Argentina.

He has endured painful defeats in World Cup and Copa America finals, with the pressure of shouldering the expectations of a nation weighing heavy at times.

A last-16 exit was suffered in Russia over the summer, with a difficult qualification campaign and regular changes in the dugout doing an inconsistent team few favours.

“It was really difficult for Argentina since the qualification with three different coaches,”Mercado said.

“Jorge [Sampaoli] arrived and tried to implement his ideas and we couldn’t do it at the World Cup.

“It is not easy to play a World Cup because all the teams want what you want. Argentina had additional pressure because at the last World Cup they lost the final and would only be happy with winning the cup.

“We tried, it was our dream, but unfortunately we couldn't do it and Jorge had to leave us.

“I will always have a huge respect for him because he helped me to join Sevilla and to play at the World Cup. I wish him the best.”

The cattle giant stands in head and shoulders in front of other livestock and weighs an incredible 1.4 tons.

Owner Geoff Pearson, whose beast is the largest of his breed in Australia, said, "It was too heavy." I could not run it through a processing plant.

Knickers are technically a Boer, a castrated cattle.

Geoff continued, "When I was young, we got another cow.

60-year-old dutch carpenter who built a full-on, life-sized replica of Noah’s Ark in order to prove God’s existence, has said that he will sail it to Israel.

The Dutch carpenter named Johan Huibers spent four years and $1.6 million crafting the boat, which also has some life-size wooden animals including a giraffe and gorilla.

It has attracted impressed onlookers since it was first placed in the Maas River, in the south of the Netherlands, back in 2012 – but Huibers says he has big plans for it.

The devout Christian said he embarked on the project “to prove that God exists”, and said he believes every word of the Bible.

Speaking to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, he said:

“My preferred destination for the ark is Israel.” Before adding that he’d read the bible ‘cover to cover’. Why bother, mate? Could have just stopped at the bit in the Old Testament where Noah gets a mention.

“This is a copy of God’s ship,” he explained. “It only makes sense to take it to God’s land.”

In its current form, Johan’s ark is popular with visitors, with hundreds of thousands of tourists making the journey to explore the massive boat, which is longer than a football pitch and has five floors.

Johan says he built the ark as an attempt to ‘show people that God exists’, and that he wanted ‘children to come here and feel the texture of the wood, see the nails and see that is written in the book is true’.
