Man Transporting Arms To Benue Intercepted In Jigawa [Photos]

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Jigawa has arrested a man with firearms heading to Benue state.

The deputy commander of NDLEA in Jigawa, Oko Micheal, revealed this to journalists on Tuesday at Dutse, the state capital.

Mr. Oko said operatives of NDLEA were on normal operation around Jahun – Gujungu Road where the suspect was arrested.

“The suspect, identified as Salisu Mahmuda was arrested on Sunday 4, February, 2018 with some three locally fabricated firearms (2 locally made revolver pistol, one cut to size revolver rifle) with five-rounds of live ammunition,” he said.

NDLEA Arrests 50 Students, 13 Females In Katsina After Being Found Doing This

It has been revealed that as many as 732 drug offenders have been arrested in Katsina State, out of which 50, were students of various tertiary institutions in the state.
 
According to Vanguard, the State Commander, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Hajiya Maryam Sani disclosed this, yesterday, while briefing newsmen on successes recorded by the command from January to December, 2017.

Navy Hands over 100 Bags of Seized Cannabis to NDLEA

The Nigerian Navy in Lagos on Friday handed over 100 bags of cannabis they impounded at Badagry creeks to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.
 
Navy Commodore Maurice Eno, who handed over the substance to the agency, said the suspects abandoned their two fibre boats on sighting naval men at Igbooja Village near Badagry.
 
“The substance was packaged in 77 big bags and 23 medium bags, weighing about 4226.6kg with an estimated street value of over N40m.

Drug suspect

Two suspected drug traffickers, jewellery and auto parts dealers have been apprehended in connection with unlawful importation of narcotics.

The suspects according to the Agency are Okonkwo Godwin, 57, an importer of jewellery found with cocaine in his boxer shorts and Nnaemeka David Chinedu, 37, an auto parts dealer who ingested 94 wraps of heroin.

This is one of the largest quantities of drugs ingested by a suspect at the Lagos airport lately.

NDLEA commander at the Lagos airport, Ahmadu Garba said that the suspects arrived from Brazil and Uganda with cocaine and heroin respectively.

Policemen, NDLEA Officers Protect Cannabis Planters In Osun

The Osun State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, on August 15, 2016, destroyed about 21 hectares of cannabis sativa at the Onikete Farm Settlement in the Isokan Local Government Area of the state.

However, about 25 kilometres of land, which is allegedly being used to cultivate cannabis in the settlement, was allegedly spared.

Sad! Drug Mafia Kills 3 NDLEA Operatives In Ogun State

People suspected to be drug mafia on Sunday, killed three operatives of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), in Owode-Yewa, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The victims were officers attached to the state command of the agency. The gang, it was gathered unleashed terror on the anti-drug agents, who had gone to the area on an operation, following a tip-off that drug dealers operated in the area.
