Nigerian Woman Excretes Hard Drugs Inside Aircraft

Chizoba Anya, a Nigerian lady, has excreted wraps of substance that tested positive for methamphetamine on-board a Qatar Airline Flight from Malaysia to Nigeria, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, said on Monday.

NDLEA said the 32-year old suspect was said to have excited suspicion following her frequent visits to the toilet.

“On arrival at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos, three wraps of methamphetamine were found in her possession,” said Mitchell Ofoyeju, NDLEA spokesperson.

Iyetade Soyinka, a daughter of Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka, has died. Ms. Soyinka, who was born June 6, 1965, died at the University of Ibadan Teaching Hospital where she was being treated for an undisclosed ailment.

The death was disclosed in a statement signed by Jahman Anikulapo, an aide to Mr. Soyinka, one of the world’s foremost dramatists and winner of the 1986 Nobel Prize in literature. The statement noted that the late Iyetade Soyinka was a student at the Staff School and Queens School, Ibadan before she studied Medicine at the University of Ibadan.

Woman Strangles Bus Driver To Death While Holding His Manhood Because Of 10Naria

The Edo state Police Command arrested a 38-year-old female bus passenger on Monday for allegedly killing an innocent bus driver, (simply identified as Eze) in his 20s, over the weekend.Read the story after the break.
The ugly incidence which happened on Saturday morning ensued after the bus driver carried the passenger to the junction of Ohovbe Road, Off Benin Agbor Road, Ikpoba Hill for N40, but the woman entered the bus on argument and refused to pay the N40 instead she paid N30. This angered the driver and when he requested for his balance and she refused, he started calling her names.

4 Men Arrested At Lagos Airport With Cocaine Concealed In Their Underwear

Four suspects have been arrested by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for the unlawful importation of more than 2.375 kilogramme of cocaine.

A total of 144 wraps of cocaine were found concealed inside the underwear of two of men, identified by NDLEA officials as Ogechukwu Emeanu, 35, Vitalis Madubia, 35, Uchenna Nnoli, 39 and Chinonso Ekwe, 34. The suspects were arrested on the same day the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos during routine screening.

Rivers State Governor Amaechi speaks

Governor of Rivers State and Chairman of the Nigerian Governor’s Forum, Chibuike Amaechi, has said that he was installed as governor by God and not man.
According to him, he fasted and prayed for 306 days (10 months), before he became the governor.
He also criticized the increasing level of insecurity in the Federal Government and stated that rather than chase criminals away from the state, the police had decided to shoot innocent citizens.

Man Stabbed To Death Over N200 In Port Harcourt

36-years –old Jonah Onwuchekwa was stabbed to death Thursday by a waste disposal officer with Rivers State Sanitation Authority after a minor argument over N200.

The late Jonah was said to have left his house to dump his waste at the waste dumping site located at Mgboshimini Community, Mile 4 axis of Port Harcourt when the argument broke out between him and the waste disposal who got angry and stabbed him to death.

An eyewitness Chijoke Nna said the deceased was sent to early grave because he refused to pay N200 to dumped his waste.

Southern California hospitals are spreading holiday cheer for new parents by delivering newborns in giant Christmas stockings.

The bright red stockings were provided this week for babies born at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. The Long Beach Press-Telegram reports it’s a half-century-old tradition.

The Redlands Community Hospital has been handing out stockings to parents of infants born this month.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports the tradition began in 1930, but lapsed before it was revived in 2005. This year, 16 volunteers made 250 fleece stockings during a daylong sewing bee.

Saudi Blogger Raif Badawi Sentence to Death for Apostasy

Raif Badawi, a blogger in Saudi Arabia who has been imprisoned for violating the nation's anti-cybercrime law, was given the

death penalty for apostasy by a higher court Wednesday, his wife told CNN.

Badawi founded the Free Saudi Liberals website and was originally given a seven-year sentence in July.

A Jeddah criminal court found Badawi, who has been in prison since June 2012, guilty of insulting Islam through his website and in television

Australia police seize drugs from methamphetamine lab

Australian police have seized drugs with a street value of more than A$43m ($38m; £23m) during a raid in New South Wales, officials say.

They say officers found a methamphetamine lab at a property 50 miles (80km) north of Sydney, as well as a South African parrot and a python.

Cars, guns and chemicals were also seized during raids on three other New South Wales properties, they added.

A 34-year-old woman, Mrs. Alexandra Ossai, has accused her Lebanese boss, Kaveh Noine, of causing her to lose her seven-month-pregnancy after he kicked her in the stomach.
Currently at a private hospital in the Fagba area of Lagos State, Ossai had to have an emergency surgery four days after the kick to save her life as the kick damaged her placenta.

According to Punch, Ossai, who until December 13, 2013, was a supervisor with a Lebanese owned firm, Toppan Printing Company, alleged that Noine assaulted her many times during her eight months stay at the company.
