Mr. Yusuph Olaniyonu, Chairman of the Board of the Senate on the Media and Publicity, said the invasion of the residence of Dr. Bukola Saraki was to prevent defection of some members of the National Assembly from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today.

"Also, they believe many of the defectors would be back in the face of this bullying."
Police houses and officers had their way to the Lake Chad Residence of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, there at the invitation of the General Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris at 8am today.
It was gathered that Saraki's convoy hit the road around 6:58 am on Tuesday morning to honor the police force of the Nigerian Police force had passed through.
