The Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) has published the calendar of activities for four by-elections.
The commission announced on July 19 that it will hold four by-elections on August 11 to fill vacancies in the districts of Katsina North and Bauchi South in the states of Kastina and Bauch; as well as the federal district of Lokoja / Kogi / Koton Karfe in Kogi State and the electoral district of Obudu State in Cross River State.
PREMIUM Times indicated that this decision was taken after the notification of the vacancies previously transmitted by the National Assembly and the House of Assembly of Cross River State to the commission.
In accordance with this development, the Committee approved the calendar and schedule of activities for by-elections.
