A 30-year-old woman, Abiodun Olajide, has pleaded guilty to removing her man friend’s teeth with slap while the duo engaged in fisticuffs.

Olajide was also said to have inflicted wounds on Augustine Olukukoyi at their residence at Oguntolu, Somolu, Lagos State.

Man Sentenced To 45 Years In Prison For Stealing Governor’s Phone

An Osogbo High Court yesterday sentenced a 31-year-old man, Kelvin Igha-Igbodalo to 45 years imprisonment without an option of fine for stealing a Sony Ericson phone belonging to Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola.

Igha-Igbodalo is alleged to have stolen Aregbesola’s phone during the swearing-in ceremony of the governor in 2010. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time has swept the board at this year's Olivier Awards, but Dame Helen Mirren was crowned the Queen of British theatre for her second Elizabeth II role.

The star, who played the monarch in The Audience, said her win was down to the real-life popularity of the Queen who she joked had put in the "most consistent and committed performance of the twentieth century and probably the twenty-first".

Speaking backstage, Dame Helen said winning did not mean she was "the best actor".

Jeffrey Wright Arrested for DWI

Veteran character actor Jeffrey Wright was arrested in NYC early Saturday morning for DWI ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that cops pulled Wright over in a Toyota Tacoma at around 3:00 AM ET for an unknown traffic violation.

We're told when cops spoke with Wright, they detected an odor of alcohol and administered a field sobriety test. After Wright did poorly on that, he was arrested and booked for DWI.

Wright has appeared in almost too many movies to name, but will next be seen by most of the free world in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire."

Nollywood star actor, Jim Iyke has opened up on speculations going round that he is in a romantic relationship with the Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari.

Both stars have been seen around each other on many occasions in suggestive ways which brought about the rumour that they are dating.

Reacting to the reports, Jim Iyke's image maker, Mitch Ngaman told Nigeriafilms.com that Jim Iyke and Nadia are just 'best of buddies, they are not dating.' The residents of Bank Olemoh Street, Surulere, Lagos, were terrified on Monday when two gunmen shot dead Olamide George, a 25-year-old deejay.

According to eyewitnesses, the assassination was carried out at about 2pm while George was with friends under a tree, popularly known as Abe Igi.

It was learnt that just before his murder, George reportedly answered a phone call, and the caller requested to know where he was. George answered that he was at Abe Igi.

The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star and younger sister of Kim Kardashian will not be hosting the new edition of the X-Factor according to reports by Washington Post.
It is still unclear why Khloe who signed on to The X Factor in 2012 with no prior hosting experience was sacked, but sources tell the Post that it may not be unconnected with the show’s founder, Simon Cowell’s hopes of finally finding that magic combination of hosts and judges that will help his singing competition achieve the audience of 20 million that he promised in the fall of 2011.
However, Khloe’s co-host, Mario Lopez will still be on for the next season that will begin later this year.

Etisalat man ‘Saka’ moves to MTN in N20m Deal

If you watch TV regularly, you must have come across Nigerian actor Hafiz Oyetoro popularly called Saka.
