FG Hits Back At Obasanjo, No Plan To Frame You Up

The federal government last night dismissed as frivolous allegation by ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo that government had placed him on a watch list preparatory to terminating his life.

Government said it has no intention of framing up the ex-president or any Nigerian for that matter.

Information and Culture Minister, Lai Mohammed, in a response to the allegation, said government will not be distracted by the “frivolous allegation”, which, according to him, was choreographed to achieve a purpose.

He wondered why the alarm came soon after President Muhammadu Buhari decided to honour the late winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, Chief M.K.O. Abiola.

Benue Killings: Ortom Lied Against Me - Osinbajo

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo

BENUE KILLINGS: REPORTS VICE PRESIDENT IGNORED BENUE GOVERNOR’S LETTER ABSOLUTELY FALSE

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, was shocked by a news report ostensibly quoting the Benue State Governor Sam Ortom as saying that the VP was warned of the savage and inhumane killings by alleged herdsmen in Logo and Guma local government areas which took place on the 1st of January 2018.

Although the Vice President, Prof. Osinbajo does not believe that the Governor could ever have said so, it will be a terrible falsehood to suggest that the VP was ever informed by the Governor or any one else of the imminence of the killing of citizens of our country in those or any other local governments in Benue State.

Saraki Is A Threat To APC, Democracy - Adamawa Lawmaker

Senate President Bukola Saraki

Adamawa State House of Assembly member, Alhaji Alhassan Umar, representing Jada/Mbulo constituency, yesterday said that Senate President Bukola Saraki, was not only a threat to the future of the All Progressive Congress, APC, but also to the country’s democracy.

Umar said this while speaking to newsmen yesterday in Yola where he alleged that Saraki had put in place multiple plans to frustrate the government of President Muhammadu Buhari to the detriment of Nigerians.

According to Umar, the unnecessary crisis over the confirmation of Ibrahim Magu as the substantive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and the refusal to confirm the Resident Electoral Commissioners, RECs, was a grand design by the Senate President to frustrate the war against corruption and derail the country’s democracy.
