Some Released Chibok Girls Need Surgery - FG Reveals

The Federal Government, on Thursday, said some of the schoolgirls released by Boko Haram militants over the weekend would need surgery for various ailments, The Punch reports.
 
The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Jummai Alhassan, who said this at a press conference in Abuja, stated that the girls were undergoing treatment that would take a few weeks to complete.
 
No fewer than 276 schoolgirls were abducted over three years ago, while 82 were released after negotiations involving the Swiss Government, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Federal Government on one side and the terror sect on the other.
 
Twenty-one of the girls were released in October 2016, but had yet to be reunited with their parents.

Girl-child education activist Malala Yousafzai, who arrived Nigeria in the early hours of today has already met with the families of some of the missing Chibok girls. Malala is in Nigeria to meet with President Jonathan and lend her voice in the demand to release the kidnapped girls

Abducted Chibok girls are ‘healthy, feeding well’

A man who identified himself as "spiritual leader inside Boko Haram" spoke with the BBC World Service radio describing the current state of the school girls abducted by insurgents almost 3 months ago in Chibok, Borno State.
 
In an interview the man, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the girls were in "good state of health" and disclosed how they can be freed, The Cable reports. He confirmed the earlier claims that Christians students had been converted to Islam, adding however that those who objected were not forced to do so.

Asari Dokubo Insists There Was No Abduction Of Chibok Girls

Asari Dokubo who had in May also described the abduction of the school girls as a scam took to his facebook to voice out his opinion, posting the photo below with caption:"Dis CHIBOK School no get school uniform…so na mufti dem dey wear snap passport for SSCE? PASS THE MESSAGE….NO GIRLS ARE MISSING….CHIBOK IS A SCAM."
Despite the faces and names of the kidnapped Chibok girls were released, Dokubo still insist there is was no occurrence of such with him accusing the Borno state, Governor Kashim Shettima and his party, All Progressive Congressive of staging the abduction to destroy President Jonathan’s administration.

Photos Of Abducted Chibok School Girls Revealed

These are the names and faces of some of the more than 200 Chibok school girls who were abducted from their school about eight weeks ago.

Dailymail.co.uk who published the pictures this morning said the community leader and the girls’ families have given permission for their names and photographs to be put into the public domain so the world will be reminded of the missing girls. The government is yet to rescue any of the girls ever since they were adopted eight weeks ago. Continue below to see the rest of them.
