A husband and wife of ten years share their bed with a magician who helps them raise their two Children
Ken and Bella, had been married for five years when Bella met married magician by name Daniel at a party.Both couples had group sex before Daniel divorced his wife and moved in permanently with Bella and Ken to live as a ‘throuple’.Now, Ken has another girlfriend who he spends time with when Bella is out of town working with Daniel as an assistant for his magic act.
Talking about the moment she met Daniel, 34-year-old Bella said: ‘At the end of the night, I don’t know why but he was about to leave and we were saying goodbye, and I kissed him.
‘I was like, “okay, I’m married and I just kissed another married man”. I was having very conflicted feelings about it, but I wanted to do it again.’
Though the college sweethearts were strictly monogamous, they discussed exploring having other partners and decided to get to know Daniel and his wife who were in an open relationship.Bella, 34, said:
‘There was a lot of chemistry and we were like “maybe this is something that we really want to try”, so we invited them over, we talked a couple of times and we ended up all having sex, and we kind of went from there.’
But before long, cracks started to show in Daniel and his wife’s relationship.Daniel, 33, said:
‘So her and I were together for a long time, and we had problems well before Bella and Ken came along. Unfortunately, something that I think polyamory does very well is that it highlights everything, and you end up talking about things that might have been pushed under the rug previously.’
In 2015, a year after the foursome had their first encounter, Daniel and his wife had an argument and divorce and the next step for Ken, Bella and Daniel seemed natural to them.Bella said:
‘We were like “okay, well you can live with us now”.’
The newly formed throuple moved into a new, larger house together, and settled into a king size bed that all three share, and established their three-way bedroom dynamic.
Daniel said: ‘It’s usually the two of us, or the two of them, generally.’
Bella said: ‘It’s actually not very often that the three of us are together sexually.’
But sometimes, the two men will become intimate. Daniel said: ‘It’s an uncommon thing. It’s like cake – you don’t have cake all the time.’Two years ago, Ken became involved with Laura, his own girlfriend who also has two children.Ken said:
‘Laura is wonderful. She’s not involved with Bella or Daniel. She and I are involved and that’s her attachment to us.’
Daniel is working as a magician and Bella joined him as his own assistant, often travelling out of the state to perform fire-handling as part of his Work.On jealousy within poly relationships, the group swear by communicating their feelings.
Ken said:
‘If you ignore it, it will breed resentment, and if you talk about it and you deal with it then maybe you can find the root cause and get past it.
‘I don’t know if it’s harder, it just means we need to talk about things more than sometimes you do when there is only one other person.’When Daniel moved in, Bella and Ken had to explain it to their then three and four-year-old daughters.Ken said:
‘They were really happy with it, and now they don’t remember before that. We share the responsibilities of parenting – parenting together in our own various styles and on the same team.’
Bella said:
‘The girls were playing with one of their friends and the friend kind of remarked to our little one saying “you have two dads and a mom” and she said “yeah, some people have two dads, and that’s okay”.’
Daniel said:
‘I never wanted to have children because I always worried about my lifestyle being too selfish for children, like that I would be travelling all over the place and bringing kids with you is a big problem especially when they are little.
‘So to have this situation where I can love these two girls and be a parent, but when I’m not there I know that they are taken care of and I’m not leaving one person at home to take care of all the duties is really nice and really comforting.’Bella and Ken’s daughter Aurelie, seven, said:
‘My favourite thing about my first dad is that he likes to write books and I like to write books, and the thing about my other dad is that I like to do magic and he does magic.’

An army helicopter crashed in southwestern Afghanistan on Wednesday, killing 25 people on board, including a top commander and the head of the provincial council key in fighting off a Taliban attack in May, officials said.Taliban insurgents fighting the Western-backed government said they shot it down.Two army helicopters were on their way from Farah province to neighboring Herat when one lost control in low visibility and crashed into a mountain, Naser Mehri, a spokesman for the provincial governor, told Reuters.Among the passengers were Nematullah Khalil, deputy army corps commander for the western region, and Farid Bakhtawar, the outspoken head of Farah’s provincial council. The other victims, apart from the crew, were soldiers and council members, Mehri said.Bakhtawar was a major figure in battling the Taliban in the battle for the city of Farah which the militants besieged and threatened to take over in May.

India has unveiled the world's tallest statue, which cost 29.9bn rupees (£330m; $430m) to build.The 182m (600ft) high structure in the western state of Gujarat is a bronze-clad tribute to independence leader Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the "statue of unity" would serve as a major tourist attraction.But locals say this is as a waste of public money and that the funds could have been put to better use.Mr Modi, who unveiled the statue at a grand inaugural event, said it is "a symbol of India's integrity and resolve."Air Force planes showered flowers on the statue, which was designed by decorated Indian sculptor Ram V Sutar.According to local reports, thousands of policemen have been deployed across the district, which has witnessed incidents of violence and protests over the effigy. A Pakistani court has overturned the death sentence of a Christian woman convicted of blasphemy, a case that has polarised the nation.Asia Bibi was convicted in 2010 after being accused of insulting the Prophet Muhammad in a row with her neighbours.She always maintained her innocence, but has spent most of the past eight years in solitary confinement.The landmark ruling has already set off violent protests by hardliners who support strong blasphemy laws.Demonstrations against the verdict are being held in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Multan. Clashes with police have been reported.The Red Zone in the capital Islamabad, where the Supreme Court is located, has been sealed off by police, and paramilitary forces have been deployed to keep protesters away from the court.Chief Justice Saqib Nisarm, who read out the ruling, said Asia Bibi could walk free from jail in Sheikupura, near Lahore, immediately if not wanted in connection with any other case.She was not in court to hear the ruling, but reacted to the verdict from prison with apparent disbelief."I can't believe what I am hearing, will I go out now? Will they let me out, really?" AFP news agency quoted her as saying by phone.The trial stems from an argument Asia Bibi, whose full name is Asia Noreen, had with a group of women in June 2009.They were harvesting fruit when a row broke out about a bucket of water. The women said that because she had used a cup, they could no longer touch it, as her faith had made it unclean.Prosecutors alleged that in the row which followed, the women said Asia Bibi should convert to Islam and that she made three offensive comments about the Prophet Muhammad in response.She was later beaten up at her home, during which her accusers say she confessed to blasphemy. She was arrested after a police investigation.
Seventeen women, all Filipina expats, were arrested after hosting a Halloween party in Saudi Arabia.The group of women were all detained by Saudi intelligence officers who raided a Riyadh compound on Friday, according to the Philippines foreign ministry.Neighbours had reportedly complained about the noise. It is not known what charges they face however the foreign ministry reiterated that Saudi laws prohibit unattached men and women from being seen together in public.Adnan Alonto, the Philipinne ambassador in Riyadh, told the ministry it appeared organisers of the party had been charged with holding an event without permit and disturbing the neighbourhood, the BBC reported.Mr Alonto has since issued an advisory reminding the Filipino population in Saudi Arabia to "refrain from organising or attending events or gatherings that are unsanctioned or without permission."He said: "In addition, everyone is reminded to avoid mixed crowds, consuming liquor, and holding public practice of traditions that are associated with religions other than Islam, such as Halloween, Valentines and Christmas."It is thought that some of the partygoers did not know the gathering had a Halloween theme.The public worship of any religion other than Islam is banned in Saudi Arabia - despite the fact at least two million of the country's expatriates are non-Muslims.
The Federal Government has confirmed a report which ranks Nigeria first on the list of countries with high record of mother-to-child transmission of HIV/AIDS in the world.Government reiterated local and international indications confirmed that Nigeria produces 30 percent of children born with HIV/AIDS globally.Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, told newsmen at the launch of a roadmap on implementation of the National Treatment and Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT) of HIV/AIDS in Abuja, yesterday, that the situation is worrisome and requires collective action of all stakeholders, with the support of global partners to correct the statistics.Prof. Adewole said the roadmap has been designed to give proper guidance and direction on how best to offer treatment to HIV patients in Nigeria and also, protect unborn children from contacting the virus through a mother living with the virus.The minister also confirmed that Nigeria has 3.1 million people living with the virus, out of which 1.1 million people have been under proper and timely treatment from government.He said he was impressed with the commitment of the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) to the cause of proper and timely care for patients with the virus.“There is no reason why Nigeria should be the highest producer of babies infected with HIV because, we have put in great efforts in the past. One of African football's most powerful figures has been banned from the sport for life for breaking bribery and corruption rules.Ex-Ghana Football Association (GFA) president Kwesi Nyantakyi also broke conflict of interest rules, Fifa said.Football's world governing body launched an investigation after Nyantakyi was pictured taking $65,000 (£48,000) from an undercover reporter.Fifa fined Nyantakyi 500,000 Swiss francs (£390,000). Nyantakyi was also vice-president of the Confederation of African Football and a member of the Fifa Council.He stepped down as GFA president in June after film of him allegedly accepting a "cash gift" was made public.The film was captured by journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas and BBC Africa's investigations unit, Africa Eye, received exclusive access to the footage.Nyantakyi later resigned his Caf and Fifa posts but claimed the footage had been doctored to falsely incriminate him.The adjudicatory chamber of Fifa's ethics committee said the ban for life applied to "all football-related activities at both national and international level".

Much like Egypt, Algeria is trapped in stasis. And similar to Egypt and Nigeria, the Algerian military has played a major role in domestic politics since independence in 1962 – gained after a brutal war with France that lasted eight years and traumatised both countries.
