Davido Wins Big At The 2017 Soundcity MVP Awards (See Full List Of Winners)

The 2017 Soundcity MVP Awards held last night, January 12 at the Eko  Convention Centre and Nigerian artistes as usual were the biggest winners.

Davido was however the star of the night as he grabbed three awards for Song of the year, African Artiste of the year and Video of the year.

Tiwa Savage also took home Female MVP of the year.

Davido Denies Stealing 'Aye' From Singer Runtown

     Davido is finally refuting claims that his 2014 hit track "Aye" was written by singer Runtown from Dilly Records.

In a recent interview with AvanteTV, the BET Award winner said,

"Runtown and TSpize work great together. TSpize sent me a couple of beats and we recorded like three songs and everyone was just like, this is the one. So we shot the video naturally. Everything about me is natural."

To crown what has been an amazing year for the Áye crooner, Davido just clinched the awards for Best African Act at the ongoing BET Awards. He beat some of Africa’s biggest music acts to it including Tiwa Savage, Diamond Platnumz, Sarkodie and Mafikizolo to the award
