How To Keep Your Phone From Taking Over Your Life
We are distracted like never before - and our phones are probably the biggest culprit. But there is a way to live and still do things. If your mind even resists a task, it will look for new things to focus on. And it does not have to look far - just up to your phone.
Our smartphones provide an endless stream of bite-sized, delicious information that our brains can consume. It's easy to become addicted, even addicted to it. And most of us would prefer not to feel that way. Here are 7 strategies that are useful to prevent phones from taking our time and attention:
Use airplane mode even when you are not in the air
Airplane mode is not just for travel. Use it when working on an important task or drinking with someone you value. It makes a bigger difference than just putting the phone in your pocket; As you do so, you are still aware of the vibrating notifications and distractions that pile up and wait for you. Flight mode prevents notifications from interfering with your work or conversation.
Make a phone exchange
While you should take your phone away while you are with family or friends, there are times when you need to have it at hand. On these occasions, try exchanging phones with the people you depend on. That way, if you're looking for something, making a phone call, or sending yourself a reminder, you have a device that you can do with it - but it will not be one that will suck you into a personalized world of distraction , If there is an urgent call or an urgent message on your phone, your swap partner must of course tell you, and vice versa.
Clean up your apps.
Scroll through your phone and delete apps that waste too much time and attention - including social media and news apps. This can be refreshing, like spring cleaning for your phone. Step 2: Consider removing apps that duplicate features with apps on your other devices. For example, if you also read e-mails on your tablet, your e-mail app may not be worth reading. An investment app that compulsively reviews you might be worth nixed if you can access this information on your laptop.
Create a mindless folder.
So you can not get rid of all your time-wasting apps - and that's fine. Simply place your most distracting apps - the ones that put you into autopilot mode - in a "mindless" folder on your phone or tablet. The name of the folder should serve as a reminder each time you distract yourself.
Watch for the gaps
This takes willpower, but consciously resists the urge to type on your phone when waiting in line at the grocery store, walk to the cafe or in the bathroom. Try to use these breaks to think and charge. Mindless burning those moments on your phone is not worth it.

'How YOU can Stop Being Dependent On Monthly Salary'
Everyone needs additional sources of income, but not everyone can have it. In this publication, I will show you how I could create, not just one or two, three sources of income that helped me live the life of my dreams.
Living with your salary in this country is similar to driving a car without breaks; When things are put in some way, just wait to crash. Forget what you've heard all the time about working hard; your main source of wealth would only be when you have diversified your income.
The question now is "How can you then diversify your income?"
Diversifying your income is similar to creating a side bustle. Anything that puts more money in your pocket is a good idea.
Before continuing, I will say "Do you know that if you earn $ 10 extra every day, you will have an additional $ 310 at the end of the month?
This means that when you become Naira, you will be 111,600 Naira richer. Who would not appreciate such an amount of money? Let me show you how to achieve this process.
How to create an additional revenue source
Choose a profitable skill
I was talking to a group of vendors in Abuja who sold insurance; I asked them how they earn money other than selling insurance. They said "nothing"
Imagine if they can open another side they are quick to become affiliate marketers, which I think pay more than the insurance they are selling.
There are so many profitable skills that can give you the money you deserve. Skills such as web design, web development, affiliate marketing, content writing, etc. All this can get extra money if you know exactly how to use the skills.
Know how to monetize the skill
This is actually the hardest part of everything. Once you have identified the skills you need to sell, you must monetize the skill. Monetize means selling your skills to people who may need them.
Your employer pays you for using your skills in the workplace, so why can not you use your skills and work for you?
There are several places where you can use your ability to earn money; places like
- Clickbank
- Fiverr (click here to see my fiverr tricks)
- Gotranscript
- Amazon
- Aliexpress
- Upwork
There are many other places where you can earn money with the skills you have to offer.
Get the information

8kg Potato That Has Grown Into The Shape Of A Human Foot
It is the eight-kilogram potato of mutant appearance that took the form of a human foot.
Farmers Marli and Paulo Ciquinel discovered the scourge in the town of Meleiro, in the state of Santa Cantarina, in southern Brazil.
The photos show how the huge potato grew to look like a human foot, with toes going down in height.
The largest of the toes is covered with roots that look like hair and the foot reaches almost knee height.
The couple planted the potato in the kitchen garden behind their house where they also grow other vegetables.
Marli told reporters, "We've never seen anything like this, let's see what we're going to do with the potato.
"Maybe we can show it if someone wants to see it."
He added, "I was a little scared when we harvested this potato."

Social media makes children depressed, psychiatrist warns kids should not have phones
Parents should receive official advice warning them not to give smartphones to their children before they reach high school, warned a leading psychiatrist.
Dr. Jon Goldin said that parents are forced to buy the devices for their young children so they are not left in school.
The vice-president of the Royal College of Psychologists said the government's advice on giving kids smartphones would help parents hold their land.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, he said, "Children often say to their parents," All my friends [take phones] and you do not allow me to do that.
"In this situation, parents need the support of the national orientation.
"I do not think we can legislate [to restrict it to under 11s], but this orientation would support parents when they have conversations with their 10 year olds."
Dr. Goldin also called on the government to recommend that children under the age of 11 should be limited to two hours a day on social media.
According to him, social media makes children anxious and depressed, and time spent online can make them vulnerable to cyberbullying.
The psychiatrist used social media giants such as Facebook and Twitter to make it more difficult for young people to lie about their age and create accounts before they turn 13.

7 Tips On Staying Safe During A Flood
Here are some tips for staying safe during a flood this rainy season:
1. Never walk in moving water. This is the first rule of caution, do not be tempted.
2. If you have to walk in the water, walk where the water does not move. You can use a stick to protect your movement.
3. Never drive in flooded areas. If you feel the water rising around your car, try moving to higher ground, if you can safely do it, or just go out and run towards safety.
4. Never touch electrical equipment, whether you are wet or not.
5. Maybe you are stuck on an object above the water, such as a tree, pole or structure, be calm and wait to be rescued. Do not enter the floodwater, you can not be as sure of what awaits you.
6. If your vehicle ends up being submerged, relax; release your seat belt, gently roll the window closest to you and get out of the car. It's important not to fight because it's the easiest way to drown.
7. If you are caught in fast-flowing water, always go over the obstacles, never try to go below.
