World Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua Comes Under Fire After Making This Racist Comment

Nigerian-British boxing champ, Anthony Joshua has come in for criticism for an alleged use of racist language in an Instagram exchange with American heavyweight, Eddie Chambers.
 
Chambers, a fighter with a professional record of 42-5, posted a video earlier last week, which showed an apparent direct message back-and-forth with ‘AJ’.
 
A message from Joshua’s account referred to Chambers as a “disgrace to the superior black race.”

Anthony Joshua Moves Back Into His Mum's Two Bedroom Flat Despite Winning £15m


Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has moved back into his mum's two bedroom flat in north London despite earning £15million from his famous win over Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley.

Joshua is being tipped to become the first billionaire boxer following his memorable victory but he is refusing to get carried away with his wealth and loves nothing more than spending time with his mum Yeta Odusanya.

AJ might well be a multi-million athlete and brand, but he is comfortable living with his mum, who is a social worker. The 27-year-old certainly looked relaxed as he boarded his state of the art transport from his ex-council flat and was accompanied by security.

Anthony Joshua who is still basking in the euphoria of his recent victory over Wladimir Klitschko, has deemed it fit to hangout and enjoy a meal with the team that propelled him to boxing super-stardom.
 
Joshua added the vacant WBA ‘super’ heavyweight title to his IBF strap when he climbed off the canvas to stop the Ukrainian in the 11th round of the Wembley scrap.

Ogun State Government To Visit Anthony Joshua In LONDON

  The Ogun State Government said on Tuesday it was planning to pay an official visit to the new world heavyweight boxing champion in London, Premium Times reports.

Joshua, a British-Nigerian with roots in Sagamu of Ogun State, defeated Ukraine’s Wladimir Klitschko last week to become the new heavyweight champion.

The Ogun State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Afolabi Afuape, told journalists on Tuesday the government was making arrangements to visit and congratulate the fighter. Mr. Afuape said Joshua had made the state and the country proud.

Anthony Joshua will pocket the sum of £15 million (N8.2 billion) for beating Wladimir Klitschko at weekend – the biggest purse earned by a British fighter on home soil.

Only Ricky Hatton has picked up more in one night as he earned in excess of £15 million for his clash with Floyd Mayweather Jnr in 2007 in Las Vegas.

A former boxing champion, Jeremiah Okorodudu, has revealed how boxing rave of the moment, Anthony Joshua, was rejected by Nigerian boxing officials nine years ago.
 
Joshua caught global attention and became a darling of boxing fans Saturday night after he humiliated Wladimir Klitschko, at the Wembley Stadium in England.
 
Speaking with UK Sun, Okorodud recalled that nine years back, Joshua’s efforts to represent Nigeria at the 2008 Olympic Games were futile as the Nigerian boxing officials turned him down.
 
He said,
