Dewy, based in the United States, admitted that it was not easy for her parents when she revealed their sexuality.

"Nigerians who have a problem with the LGBTQ community need to take care of their business and focus on the critical situation of life and death, love never killed the next man.
Meanwhile, Dewy's famous father, Charly Boy, came to support his daughter, after sharing a comfortable picture of herself and her lesbian partner on social networks.
While talking to a correspondent, he said that he would always support his daughter regardless of his choice of a sexual partner.
He said, "She is my daughter, why would not I support her, even if she is what she is?" My father also supported me, we can argue for moral reasons, but we all have our rights. I have fought for the gay community, so if my daughter turns out to be that way, I should walk my speech. "
Charly Boy admitted that he might not love his sexuality personally, but there was nothing he could do about it since she was an adult.

Similarly, Charly Boy criticized the anti-gay law in Nigeria, which imposed a 14-year prison sentence on any convicted person.

"They should not be disturbed by my child who enjoys his life, I do not have problems with anyone's sexuality as long as they are good human beings, I'm not at the same level as most Nigerians ... different, "he said.
