Zimbabwe's new president, Emmerson Mnangagwa, promised Sunday to open an investigation into the violence that followed the country's first election since strongman Robert Mugabe was ousted from power.
"In order to close the matter and to put an end to it, I will soon announce members of the commission of inquiry into this violence which, once completed, will publish their conclusions," he said shortly after taking the oath.
"It's a different Zimbabwe, the dawn of the second republic of our Zimbabwe."
