At least three people were killed and another abducted by gunmen around the Woji community in the Obio / Akpor local government area in Rivers State.
The victims would be two police officers and a civilian driver in a convoy of foreigners, who were later abducted by the bandits.
According to reports, the abductors ambushed the convoy on the Akom road in the Woji community in the Obio / Akpor area and shot dead the police and the driver.
The witness, Rachel Reginald, said that the gunmen later managed to withdraw their target, after releasing sporadic fire in the incident, which occurred Wednesday around 21:47.
Twelve days later, two soldiers, a police officer and a driver were also killed in the Abua local government area as they tried to prevent the kidnapping of an expert, although their target was short escape.
