NHIS Now Covers Cancer Surgeries, Chemotherapy

National Health insurance Scheme (NHIS) Secretary, Prof. Mohammed Sambo, announced that some of the surgeries and chemotherapy are now covered under the Scheme. Prof. Sambo made this known while receiving the First Lady of Kebbi State, Dr. Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu, who was working in Abuja Wednesday. He expressed concern about the high prevalence of cancer, noting that NHIS will continue to explore ways of working with public-spirited organizations and patients to increase support for cancer patients.

Prof. sambo explained the whole pleasure of the Scheme in its benefits package.
