The death of no less than nine people was confirmed on Saturday, while another 12 were wounded in several degrees in separate accidents around the Ijebu Ife axis on the Sagamu - Ijebu - Ode - Benin road.
A Witness, Oladele stated that the first accident occurred at 5:40 am, while it was still dark, while the second occurred at 8:20 am in the same corridor at Ijebu Ife, Ogun.
The head of the FRSC said seven people were involved in the first clash, which included six adult men and one adult woman.
He added that two people were injured in the accident, an adult man and an adult woman, and that two other adult men died in the accident.
"The accident involved a gray Toyota picnic car marked KTP 812 RG and a red DAF truck with registration number JEG 551 XA.
"It was suspected that the accident was caused by armed robbery attacks when the Toyota picnic driver was back on the road when he saw the armed thieves."

He noted that the two wounded victims had been rescued and taken to the Ijebu-Ode General Hospital, while the deceased had been taken to the same morgue.
Oladele said 19 people were involved in the second accident, consisting of three adult men and 16 adult women, adding that 10 people were injured and seven others died in the accident.
According to the area commander, one adult male and six adult women died in the accident.
"The accident involved a white Mack tanker bearing the designation AGL 667 XX and a Toyota Hiace passenger bus from Okitipupa, Ondo State, bearing registration number KJA 534 XL.
"The accident is due to excessive speed and loss of control, resulting in a head-on collision.
"Because of the excessive speed, the commuter bus could not drive the detour and had a head-on collision with the next truck," he said.
Oladele said the wounded and dead were taken to the Ijebu Ode General Hospital.
Oladele took pity on the families of the victims and invited them to visit the hospital or the FRSC command in Ijebu-Ode to obtain details of both accidents.
