Anifat Saheed, a pilgrim who participated in the pilgrimage of 2019, escaped after the Islamic spiritual exercise in Jeddah.
Professor Sayed Malik, chairman of the Muslim wing of the Oyo State Pilgrim Welfare Council, revealed this information during the presentation of the 2019 Hajj report to Governor Seyi Makinde in Ibadan on Thursday, October 31 .
Anifat, who participated in Hajj in 2019 with 913 other pilgrims, was remarkably absent when the council prepared the last group of pilgrims for their trip to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah in September. All efforts to locate it have failed.
Upon his return to Nigeria, the committee also did not find the address it indicated as its guarantor.
"So far, neither his guarantor nor any member of his family have come to ask him questions," he said.
