Jeff Bezos regains the title of richest man in the world,

The founder and CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, claimed the title of the richest man in the world hours after losing his seat to Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates.

Bezos, who ended his 24-year career as the richest man in the world in 2018 and became the first man on earth with a net worth of $ 160 billion, lost his place on Thursday, October 24 , after the poor results of the third quarter of Amazon, which earned him losing $ 7 billion of shares. Amazon shares fell 7% in off-calendar operations.

He returned to first place at the end of Friday's markets. Its shares fell by only 1% to $ 1,760.78, placing its net worth at $ 109.9 billion. Bill Gates currently has a value of $ 105.8 billion.

Bezos' brief slip Thursday was not entirely due to the fall of his shares in Amazon, as he would never have lost first place if his ex-wife, MacKenzie Bezos and himself had not divorced.

MacKenzie, 49, received a quarter of his property from Amazon in July. With a net worth of $ 32.7 billion, it is one of the 20 richest people in the world.
