Man U may struggle to finish in the top six this season - Carragher

Former Liverpool star Jamie Carragher said Manchester United may be struggling to finish in the top six in the Premier League this season.

Carragher warned United that they could miss a top-six result this season if things continue like that for them.

Ole Gunner Solskjaer's men rank 14th in the Premier League table after nine games after two wins this year.

The Red Devils have already lost a lot of ground in the top four to question their chances of securing the next season of the Champions League.

Manchester United have only scored 10 times in the league this season to question their ability to attack.

Former Liverpool FC defender Carragher believes Manchester United may be struggling to finish in the top six this season.

"I do not think they're getting the top four," Carragher told Sky Sports.

"When we talk about Leicester in the top six and we do not know who will be lost, Man United will undoubtedly be one of the best candidates to get lost in the top six, Leicester getting stronger."

"I think it was promising last week for Manchester United, I think the first half was excellent. But you can not play like that against most teams they face.

"In fact, watching Manchester United in the next two games against Norwich and Bournemouth is a test for Manchester United, are they good enough to open those teams?"

"They have a huge problem, they can not score more than one goal in a game."

United finished sixth in the Premier League standings in the final period after José Mourinho was replaced by the Norwegian coach 10 months ago.
