Local reports show that the anonymous police officer accidentally killed the woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, inside the Oba International Market in Anambra. A crowd quickly gathered and took it.
The angry mob reportedly undressed the officer immediately and forced him to sit next to the dead woman. He was also severely mistreated, as many angry merchants took turns telling him what they could get.
The police officers later arrived to take him to a safe place.
