A 45-year-old native lawyer was reportedly beaten to death by his in-laws in Ifira Akoko, a local government area south-west of Akoko, in Ondo State, after an internal disagreement with his wife on Wednesday night.
According to eyewitnesses, Ademuyiwa Adelogba was lynched and beaten to death by his in-laws after he allegedly beat his wife, Itunnu Adelogba, in a coma after challenging him about his plan to marry another wife.
The sources revealed that the deceased who was also a farmer informed his wife that he had married a few months ago, from his ex-husband, about his intention to marry another wife.
The source added that Itunu opposed her husband's moves to marry another wife and there was an argument between the couple, which caused a serious fight while the wife fainted and was taken to a nearby hospital in the city.
The news of his wife's mistreatment leaked to his family members and siblings who reportedly coincided with the deceased's house and pounced on him with sticks and clubs and he gave up on the process.
