Timi Frank Slams Buhari's Government for Allowing EFCC to Detain Fayose for Over 24 Hours
A former deputy national publicist secretary of the Progressive Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, has warned that the immediate former governor of the state of Ekiti, Ayodele Fayose, is under threat from the Economic Crime Commission (EFCC).
This, as Frank claimed, was that the information available to him indicated that the "agency was commissioned by the powers to poison or incapacitate the outspoken politician (Fayose) before the 2019 general election."
In a statement to rexcharles blog entitled, "Fayose Must Not Die in Your Custody," the former APC spokesman wondered why anyone who volunteered to be an anti-graft agency would be detained for more than 24 hours should.
He emphasized that as long as he will never support corruption, justice must apply to each individual.
Frank revealed that Fayose was not held by the EFCC for some corrupt act, but because of his openness to the government of President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC. "
He said, "Why the former Secretary of the Federation Government, Engr. Babachir Lawal has not been charged with allegations of scandal scandal, why EFCC refuse to invite the wife of President Aisha Buhari on the recent allegation at his ADC why MTN scandal for Chief of Staff of the President is not investigating why NNPC scandal with the GMD Kanti Baru and why corruption allegations against the national chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomöhle, the agency is not interested, among so many others in the ruling party.
"The truth is that if you are not a member of APC, you are corrupt, but as soon as you join the evil party, your sins will be forgiven."
Commenting on the alleged plan to incapacitate Fayose, Frank said: "A senior agency official had to call the attention of some opposition leaders last night to ensure that Fayose does not abandon EFCC's responsibility to a healthy person.
"Another employee told us this morning that a healthy Fayose, who went to EFCC headquarters yesterday, saw himself vomiting this morning, I asked Nigerians to pray for Fayose because of the APC government's evil plan the PDP leader is not yet known. "
Frank, who called on the former governor not to eat or drink anything that came from EFCC members, drew the attention of the international community to what he called the selective nature of how President Buhari fights corruption in Nigeria.
However, when reporters asked EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwajaren for comments, he refused to respond to the allegation.
He said, "I do not respond to rumors and do not know what he means by power, so the guy who gave you the information should tell you the power that I am, I work in the EFCC and not in others. "
