Former Nigeria's Senate President, David Mark, has built and
donated a multi-million Naira church to his community in the Oturkpo
area of Benue State.
The 3,000-seat capacity building for St. Augustine Catholic Church would be formally dedicated on Saturday.

While speaking on the new church, Mark said; “I am fulfilled and humbled because God has used me as an instrument for the realization of this church.
“I thank the Almighty God for his faithfulness, mercy, grace
and blessing on me and my family. I can never quantify or measure his
kindness and blessing. I will serve God and humanity for the rest of my
life," he added.

The donation comes as corruption investigation of Mark continues at
the EFCC who had said that Mark mismanaged government funds during his
tenure as Senate President and also procured a public property without
following due process.
Mark is also being probed by the presidential committee on the recovery of stolen government property.
