Nigeria's Sports minister Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has been sacked by President Goodluck Jonathan.
Bolaji Abdullahi will be replaced by Dr. Tamuno Danagogo, who was one of the eleven newly appointed ministers by the President.
There is no clear indication why Abdullahi was relieved of his job as the sports minister, despite having shown good promises and delivering more than some of his predecessors.
The former minister is said to be in Poland where he is attending the World Athletics Championship. He was only yesterday summoned by the Federal House Committee on Sports to appear before them next week and make a presentation for their yearly budgetary allocation.
During his time,Abdullahi was responsible for settling the several brewing battles between the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) and some warring parties that resulted in court cases.
