You Can Now Study Miley Cyrus In College

Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York offers "The Sociology of Miley Cyrus: Race, Class, Gender, and Media," a course on Miley's cultural impact, as part of its summer schedule. Describing her as transitioning from "a Disney tween to a tweking machine," the class will use Miley "as a lens through which to explore sociological thinking about identity, entertainment,
media, and fame." Flyers advertising the course include a shot of Miley making a funny face, if you're not sold already. (The rise and fall of other Disney child stars like Britney and Justin will also be considered, as will the cult of Disney princesses.)
