Shark Attacks Man In Knee Deep Water On Beach

A man has been attacked by a shark while fishing on a beach in waters that were only knee deep.

Alan Saunders was bitten on both legs by the Grey Nurse Shark off the coast of New South Wales in Australia.
He reportedly suffered deep puncture wounds in the attack in the town of Crowdy Head.
His brother said he was bitten as he was releasing one of three sharks caught in a fishing net.

FBI's Most Wanted Child P.o.r.n Suspect Captured

One of the FBI's most wanted men has been arrested by police in Nicaragua.

Eric Justin Toth, who was sought on child pornography charges, was taken into custody in the northern city of Esteli on Saturday, police said.
The former schoolteacher and camp counsellor had been living under an assumed identity in the city since October, said national police chief Aminta Granera.
The suspect was transferred to Managua where he was presented to the press ahead of his extradition from the Central American nation.

Al Qaeda Terror Plot' To Attack Train Foiled

Canadian police say they have foiled an al Qaeda-backed "major terrorist plot" to attack a passenger train on a railway line between New York and Toronto.

Two people have been arrested and charged with conspiring to carry out the attack and murder people in association with a terrorist group, police revealed at a news conference in Toronto.
The suspects - Chiheb Esseghaier, 30, and Raed Jaser, 35 - had been under surveillance since August 2012 after authorities were tipped off about one of the men.
They will attend a bail hearing in Toronto today.

Boston Bombing Suspect Charged

Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been charged with using a weapon of mass destruction to kill - a crime that carries a possible death sentence.

 

Officials have said Tsarnaev, 19, and his older brother set off the twin explosions at last week's race that killed three people and wounded more than 180. His brother, Tamerlan, 26, died Friday after a fierce gunbattle with police.

Tsarnaev was listed in serious but stable condition at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, unable to speak because of a gunshot wound to the throat.

FIFA Head Sepp Blatter's Twitter Account Hacked

The Twitter account of world football head Sepp Blatter has been hacked, with spoof messages posted claiming he was involved in corruption.

FIFA confirmed that the accounts of its president Sepp Blatter and the World Cup team were interfered with but quickly worked to take down the offending messages.
The co-ordinated hacking affected the @SeppBlatter and the @FifaWorldCup accounts, with messages suggesting the decision to award the 2022 World Cup to Qatar had involved money changing hands.

While the @FifaWorldCup account carried tweets suggesting Blatter was to stand down following corruption charges, the @SeppBlatter account 'responded' with messages purporting to be Blatter defending himself.
