The popular email application terminates support for several older operating systems, which means that users will not be able to create new accounts or re-check existing accounts on multiple old phones. WhatsApp in a message on its Frequently Asked Questions page now mentions that users of Android phones versions 2.3.7 and earlier, as well as iPhone with iOS 7 and earlier, will no longer be compatible as of February 1, 2020.

This update should not affect you unless you use an older iPhone or Android phone as a backup copy of the worst case. But this is how WhatsApp suggests not to support old phones forever.

Kunle Afolayan is of Igbomina-Yoruba descent, from Kwara State. He is the son of the famous theater and film director and producer Ade Love.
