Youth Dies After Allegedly Smoking & Taking Tramadol In Lagos

An unidentified youth in Oko Oba, Agege, Lagos, passed away the day before yesterday after taking Indian hemp and tramadol.

According to witnesses, the incident occurred at the Oko Oba slaughterhouse.

It was learned that the deceased had smoked Indian hemp with some of his friends, after which he had also taken tramadol.

A source also revealed that "the deceased then sat in a corner where he took tramadol".

He would have throbbed several times after taking the combination medication leading to his death moments later.

The source added, "When he started to behave in a funny way, we thought he was simply acting clandestinely until he throbbed for a few minutes before becoming weak. He then began to lather in his mouth and as passersby rushed. ''

His body was evacuated by men from the Abattoirs Police Division.

No Politician Has Ever Given Me Money -Comedian Seyi Law

During the week, Seyi Law posted photos of the interior of her newly acquired home on her Instagram page. In the post, he noted that he had only N63k in his account, before buying the house.

While most people congratulated him, a reporter published a message asking the police to investigate the actor's source of income.

In an exclusive conversation with Saturday Beats, the comedian said it was good that someone called the police to investigate his source of income, but he noted that the call had been misdirected. .

He said, "I think it's good for Nigerians to ask questions. If someone asks the police to investigate, I think that's a good thing, but I think there are some people to ask. We should demand more from our politicians. If someone asks the police to investigate, that's not a bad thing. However, one thing that people should know is that I am one of the few artists to swear on his life that no politician has given me money. All I have today was my sweat. One of the questions that the journalist who called me on social media should have asked, "Did I pay for the house entirely?" He did not ask me and this is part of his stupidity and his mistakes.

When asked how he was able to pay for the apartment, the actor gave Saturday Beats a glimpse of how he earns his money through comedy.

"If I invested about 15 million nairas in my show in Lagos and made about 20 million nairas, I do not think I made too much profit. If I invested about 5 million euros in my Ibadan issue and made about 9 million euros, I do not think I made too much profit. This means that I made a profit of about 9 million euros. I also did a show in Port-Harcourt and I'm currently planning another show in Lagos. When I said that I had lost money at concerts I did in the UK and Dublin, I did not mean that I had lost everything I had invested.

"The reason I said I was so broken that I had 63,000 N in my account was because I paid for the room I would use for my shows in Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja and Port -Harcourt among other expenses and naira. It was investments that cost me about 20 million nairas. If I invested N20m for my shows and had N63,000 on my account, does that mean that I do not have any money - I mentioned my property in the post, but no one referred to it, "he said.

The comedian, who is known to often share his testimony on social media, said he would not stop doing so because he saw it as a source of motivation for others who admired him.

"I will not stop posting my stories on social media. I participated in a tour with the PAL pension and my duty was to motivate the students. The reporter who made this statement about my job is someone who knows me. He could have sent me a private message explaining to me how I could buy a house based on my testimony, but he did not do it. This is how a journalist is supposed to ask questions. I repeat it again and I swear on my blood and that of my mother that I never received money from a politician. I do not dare any politician to say that they gave me money. In fact, I was the one who helped most of the rich people I know because I could do a show for them and they would make me do three more for free. Is not it me who helps them? I helped more people than they helped me. I'm not one of those celebrities who do good things on camera, "he said.

England Woman To Be Deported From America After Having S*x With 14-Year-Old Boy For Cash

A British woman was deported from the United States after being accompanied by a 14-year-old boy - who paid her to help her lose her virginity.

Sarah McGill was facing 15 years in prison, but she was sentenced to five years of probation and ordered to leave America immediately.

The decision was made after she was convicted of obscene or lustful battery known as legal rape in the UK.

Since probation ended when he left the United States, his sentence was effectively expelled.

The agreement with prosecutors means that the 28-year-old hypnotherapist from Galashiels, Selkirkshire, may be back in Scotland today, although his plans for travel are unclear.

The case of McGill was unexpectedly resolved on Wednesday, three days after the publication of details of her interviews with the police, in which she said she felt "terrible" that the boy was a minor.

She had denied the obscene or lascivious battery - which is similar to legal rape in the UK and was to be tried next month.

But the prospect of a long prison sentence left her "scared", she said in an interview with the police, and prosecutors were apparently willing to grant her an agreement.

McGill was scheduled to appear before Judge Marc Lubet at the Orange County Courthouse in Orlando, Florida, for a pre-trial conference on Wednesday, but was sentenced later that day.

Julio Semino, head of judicial support for the ninth judicial circuit, said in an e-mail: "Ms. Mcgill has been sentenced to five years of probation for sex offenders and has been convicted of sexual assault.

"Her passport was ordered to be returned to her and she was ordered to leave the country immediately and her probation must end on her departure from the United States."

Under Florida law, when a person is found guilty by a judge, she is convicted of the crime.

A note in the court calendar says: "The court appoints the sex offender defendant".

McGill was arrested on April 6 after having sex with the 14-year-old at a Courtyard Marriott hotel in Orlando.

The victim found her profile on Quora.com who listed her under the name "Sophie Belle" and texted her to establish the bond for which he paid her $ 480.

The incident occurred when the boy's father discovered what he had done and returned to the hotel where he called the police.

It turned out later that the boy had lost his virginity at McGill when they slept together.

This arrest highlighted McGill's strange double life, claiming to be a hypnotherapist with an office in Edinburgh.

In her interview with the police, McGill admitted that she had traveled alone across the United States - visiting San Francisco, New Jersey, San Diego and Tampa before Orlando - but she claimed to be touring.

When told that she is a prostitute who is paid hundreds of dollars an hour to sleep with men, she said "there is truth in there".

McGill sobbed during the two-hour interview and said "I swear I did not know" that the boy was under 18 years old.

She said, "We did not just talk, he wanted to touch me, we were talking and one thing led to another, that was it, I wish I would never take it upstairs. an idiot."

McGill added in its thick Scottish accent that it "did not come here to do anything wrong".

Through tears, she said, "Whatever happens, I have never had an unhealthy intention, I am just a very down-to-earth and normal person.

"I have never been handcuffed or anything like that, so it scares me, I think I should leave the country and I think I should be disconcerted I do not want to go to jail I'm really scared . "

During his interview with the police, the victim stated that he felt "guilty" of having slept with McGill and that he only wanted to "spice up" his sex life because he was still a virgin and felt peer pressure.

The boy said he gave money to McGill as a "gift" and was wearing a condom.

Ugandan pop star, MP Bobi has been released from hospital

l
Ugandan pop star and MP Bobi Wine were released from the hospital and left the country for treatment in the United States, police said.

It follows that the MP was severely beaten while he was being held by the army, allegations rejected by the army.

Last week, he and 32 opposition politicians were accused of treason over the alleged stoning of President Yoweri Museveni's convoy.

Bobi Wine had already been released on bail, but he had been told he could not leave Uganda.

On Friday, the police confirmed he was allowed to leave the country for specialized treatment after the government sent a team of nine doctors to examine him.

Bobi Wine's lawyer said earlier that the pop star was again arrested Thursday at the airport "even if the judge let him have his passport because he had to leave the country for medical reasons."

"He was violently thrown into a police ambulance, the lawyers have no idea where he is being taken and we are all really in shock," BBC Newsday quoted Robert Amsterdam as saying.

1 Dead, 18 Injured As Plane Catches Fire In Russia

One person apparently died of a heart attack and 18 people sought medical help when a plane skidded on a runway in the Olympic city of Sochi in Russia, slipped into a river and caught fire at time of landing early Saturday.

The Boeing 737, departing from Moscow with 166 passengers and six crew members, flew over a runway as it attempted to land in the seaside resort of Sochi on the Black Sea, damaging a wing and catching fire .

"Following the landing at Sochi airport, 18 asked for medical help," said regional health authorities. Among the wounded were three children, investigators said, who opened a criminal investigation.

During the rescue operation, an airport employee died, possibly from a heart attack, a spokesman for Sochi airport told AFP in a statement.

Sixteen paramedics worked on the scene, the authorities said, adding that the fire had been extinguished.

The plane was operated by the airline Utair.

Sochi hosted the Olympic Winter Games in 2014.

Vincent Enyeama Quits Lille

Former Nigerian international Vincent Enyeama left LOSC Lille by mutual consent. The Ligue 1 team confirmed this development on Friday with a brief statement on its official website.

The Dams have confirmed that the 36-year contract was terminated by mutual consent on Friday.

"Beyond his performances, LOSC and his fans will remember Vincent's smile and his enthusiasm," he said.

"The club wishes him the best in his future projects."

I'm One Of The Greatest Managers in History of Football- Mourinho

Manchester United player Jose Mourinho said Friday that he remains "one of the world's greatest managers" despite his team's poor start to the season.

Mourinho demanded respect from the media following the 3-0 home defeat by Tottenham Hotspur, United's second defeat in their first three campaign matches.

"I won eight titles and I'm the only manager to win in Italy, Spain and England," he told reporters.

"No small titles, good titles, and my second place last season was one of my biggest football successes," he said.

Mourinho won the Serie A title with Inter Milan in 2009 and 2010, the Spanish title with Real Madrid in 2012 and three Premier League titles with Chelsea. He has also won the Portuguese championship twice with Porto.

"I'm the manager of one of the biggest clubs in the world, but I'm also one of the greatest managers in the world," he said, defending his record at United where he won the Europa League . then finished second in the Premier League last season.

"I had great success last season, and I was very successful last season, which you probably do not want to admit.

Asked whether he would still consider himself one of the biggest winners if he failed to win a title with the world champions on 20 occasions, Mourinho said, "Have you read philosophers? ... Hegel says, the truth is in the big picture, it's still overall that you find the truth. "

He then turned the tables on the media. "Are you asking this question of the manager who finished third in the Premier League last season, the manager who finished fourth, the manager who finished fifth?" He asked.

Mourinho also explained his decision to stand in front of the fans at the end of Monday's defeat and applaud them.

Ekweremadu Speaks On Viral Statement About 'Being In Senate Forever If He Wants'

TORI News had reported that while speaking on Thursday at an event organised by the #NotTooYoungToRun movement, the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, boasted that he could remain in the senate for the rest of his life if he so wishes.

In a reaction as the report went viral online, Ekweremadu in a statement he released on his official Facebook page, @iamekweremadu, said his advice was taken out of context.

He said he was only mentoring the youth that they needed to be rooted at the grassroots and relate closely with their immediate constituencies to achieve their political dreams, ”using himself as an example”.

“My advice was taken out of context. I have always seized opportunities of meeting the youth and other aspiring politicians, who consult me on their political ambitions against the erroneous notion that they must have a godfather in Abuja or the party to succeed in politics.

“Much as I played a key role in ensuring that the Not-Too-Young-To-Run Bill succeeded and even wanted 18 years as age qualification to run for office, I have always advised my mentees that it is erroneous to hope to win elections relying only on the fact that they are young.

“I always advise them to start from somewhere, preferably the grassroots and remain with people even when elected. In my case, I served as Chairman of my age grade association at ten and served so many years as the President of my community’s town union before serving as the pioneer Chairman of my Local Government Area (LGA), etc.,” he said.

He further explained that he used his success story to stress that the secret of his political staying power lies in relating closely with constituents, ”making oneself accessible to them, and ensuring justice and equity in the distribution of opportunities and development projects”.

“I said that so long as I continued on this path, my people would always want me to run, ready to re-elect me as many times as I am willing to present myself. This is a verifiable fact.

“This is despite the fact that my town, Mpu, is the smallest in my LGA, and my LGA is the least in Enugu West Senatorial. And that is the more reason I remain humble about it and most grateful to my people, who are my primary employers and above all to God to whom all power belongs, and whose grace has no doubt brought me this far,” he added.

Ekweremadu has been Nigeria’s deputy senate president for over a decade.

Bale Falls Out With Fiancee's Criminal Dad In A Row Over His child

Gareth Bale hit his fiancée's criminal father in a row on a photo of the football star's little boy.

The hero of the Champions League had the international fraudster Martin Rhys-Jones photographed by newcomer Axel Charles.

Rhys-Jones, 53, has been informed that the photo must be kept confidential and not available on social media.

But he published it on a Twitter page created to promote his book on his criminal past.

A parent of Gareth and his future wife Emma said, "Gareth became ballistic when he saw the picture.

"The couple is very private about anything to do with their children, but Martin is not afraid.

"This created an even bigger gap between them."

The Real Madrid football star invited his father-in-law to participate in the evening at Elevens, the bar he owns in the Welsh capital.

It was Bale's opportunity to show the little boy he had always dreamed of.

The little Axel Charles, born in May, was passed around busy parents, all said not to publish photos on social networks.

The father of five, Rhys-Jones, broke the agreement and wrote under the photo: "My new grandchild and his father at Elevens Bar - freedom has almost the same taste as food!"

Bale's parent said, "Martin seems determined to upset them by ignoring their privacy demands.

"Gareth and Emma asked her to take the picture, but she's still here so everyone can see her."

Rhys-Jones, who spent six years in an American jail for organizing an international scam, has already been ruled out of the couple's marriage, which has been postponed to next year due to "family unrest".
