Bishop David Oyedepo Set To Build 4 More Universities, To Make 7 Univeristies Built In Total

Bishop David Oyedepo, Chancellor of Covenant and Landmark University and founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, is set to make history in building 7 universities on the continent of Africa. The Winners’ Chapel International bishop (another name for his church) made the announcement recently on the occasion of his 60th birthday, celebrated in a grand style at Canaanland, headquarters of his ministry in at Ota, Ogun State.

The celebration was attended by former presidents and heads of state, governors, ministers, commissioners, first ladies, respected men of God, and other important dignitaries.
During his address,  the Omu-Aran, Kwara State-born man of God said that despite building 2 Universities with another 2 in the offing in Nigeria, 2 more universities would be added to the existing 2, making a total of 4 in Nigeria. A fifth university will be built in Ghana, a 6th in Kenya while the 7th would be in South Africa, he added.


It would be recalled that recently, he had hatched plan to site a university in Calabar named Crown University. The institution of higher learning which is nearing completion, will focus mainly on marine studies, as well as other course of studies obtainable in world-class universities. It was also revealed that yet another university, to be named Kings University would be sited in the nation’s capital, Abuja.
Bishop Oyedepo who has authored over 60 books founded Covenant University in 2002.
The second university – Landmark – was founded in 2011 at Omu-Aran, Kwara State where bishop Oyedepo hails from. It focuses on an agrarian mission.
