And don't worry about those pesky divorce rumors, you guys, Jay Z joined his wife onstage—along with baby Blue Ivy—to present his wife with the award.
Jay called her the "greatest entertainer in the world," while Blue said "Yay, mommy!"
All throughout, Yoncé shook what her mama gave her and sang her heart out each and every song. We still have chills! And we weren't the only ones to get emotional, Bey herself even teared up when thanking her fans for their endless support just before she sang "XO."
This marks Beyoncé's fifth time performing at the annual event. She previously sang "Baby Boy/Crazy in Love" in 2003, "Ring the Alarm" in 2006, "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" in 2009 and "Love on Top" in 2011.
Previous recipients of the Video Vanguard Award are Beastie Boys, Peter Gabriel, Madonna, Michael Jackson, R.E.M., Red Hot Chili Peppers, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake.
Looks like she's in some seriously good company!
In the end, Bey reminded us that she's in a league all on her own, however. And after her dance-filled, emotional performance, it's easy to see why!
