Nurse Lied About the Drugs Given to Late Adeleke - Forensic Expert Makes New Allegation

A report by The Nation has shown that the coroner inquest into the
death of the Late Senator Isiaka Adeleke sitting in Osogbo was on Friday
told that the Nurse who treated the former Governor of Osun was
economical with the truth about the quantity of drug and how it was
administered on the deceased before his death.
This was even as the Police stated that it is the normal and
standard practice that when Form B and C are served on pathologists, the
report of the autopsy is to be submitted to the police and not family
members as it is in the present case of Late Senator Adeleke.

Police in Osun said they had arrested a 13-year-Old boy for being
in possession of 29 wraps of weed suspected to be Indian hemp and seven
wraps of another substance called ‘Sconge’, NAN reports.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Fimihan Adeoye, made the disclosure at a news conference in Osogbo on Friday.
Adeoye said one Akeem Ojuolape, who gave the ‘weeds’ to the minor to sell was also arrested by the police.

Island on Thursday, the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu II, warned
Lagosians not to put on shoes and women not to wear head ties on
Saturday as the state hosts Eyo Festival.
The influential monarch made the declaration as he informs the
residents and visitors about the forthcoming Lagos@50 Eyo Festival
scheduled to hold on Saturday, May 20, 2017.
The Oba who was represented by the Olumegbon of Lagos, Chief Fatai
Lawal, outlined the dos and don’ts of the festival, and urged everyone
not to wear any shoes within the vicinity of the masquerades, adding
that female must not wear any form of head ties to the event.
European Union Bans Nigerian Airline, Med-View from Entering UK Airspace
The European Union cited safety reasons for barring of the airline from entering the Europe airspace.
European Commission said that its aircraft, Boeing 767 that
operates to Gatwick London is not airworthy and advised the carrier to

the spokesman of Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Professor Ango Abdullahi,
disclosed that should President Muhammadu Buhari’s failing health
prevents him from seeking re-election in 2019, the North must retain the
presidency.
The elder statesman stressed that the region must be allowed to
field a presidential candidate through the All Progressives Congress
(APC), in 2019 should Buhari fail to seek re-election.
He said in the situation of any eventuality, the Acting President,
Yemi Osinbajo should be allowed to complete the current tenure but will
not be allowed to contest in 2019.

A three-storey building under construction has collapsed at Ilasa
area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, with people trapped in the debris, PM
News reports.
The sad incident took place around 2:30pm on Thursday. Rescue
agencies are already working frantically to rescue the trapped victims.
