Come May 29, 2015, Nigeria will have a new president in the person of Gen. Mohammed Buhari. INEC chairman Prof. Jega just declared him winner of the 2015 presidential election having certified the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes in the election. Congrats Nigeria for a peaceful 2015 election. God bless President Jonathan for conceding. God bless Nigeria!

Kenyan Man rapes his employer's Chicken to death

A man committed bestiality with a chicken in Kenya.Ndanu Mwatha, 22, said the act, that led to the death of the bird, was in retaliation to the killing of his chicken by his employer.

REVEALED: Government’s annual budget is N20tn, not N4.3tn

The House of Reps said on Sunday that the Federal Government’s yearly expenditure was “over N20tn,” contrary to the N4.6tn (2014) or N4.3tn (2015) disclosed as the country’s annual public budget.

The House  Public Accounts Committee, which made the disclosure, noted that an ongoing examination of the finances of government and its 601 agencies showed that the N4.3tn given as the total spending budget for this year was a “far cry” from the reality.

The Chairman of the committee, Mr. Adeola Solomon-Olamilekan, who spoke on the issue, explained that, unknown to Nigerians, the N4.3tn, for example, did not include the expenditure of many “statutory and extra-ministerial departments” of government.

The national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has advised the presidential candidate of the PDP, Goodluck Jonathan to return home as the nation has provided enough shoes for him to wear in his village in Bayelsa State.

It would be recalled that President Jonathan had during his campaign in 2011 claimed that due to his very poor background, his parents could not afford to buy him shoes as a child.

Obasanjo shuns secret meeting with PDP Leaders & Jonathan

Revelations coming from Ogun State is that former President Olusegun Obasanjo might have shunned a secret peace move by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and President Goodluck Jonathan.

It was gathered that as part of the President’s visit to Ogun State on Friday, Jonathan and the leadership of the PDP had planned to meet secretly with Obasanjo with a view to make peace.

The PDP said: “We agree with Lamido that we should not allow Obasanjo leave like that. We will do everything within our power to bring him back."

But according to Punch, the former president, who had got wind of the peace move, traveled to Gambia on Thursday.
